The Pas is a community in northern Manitoba known as the “Gateway to the North.” It holds this title due to its unique geographical location as being one of the main communities encountered while travelling into northern Manitoba. Located just north of the 53rd parallel on the western side of the province, the town is adjacent to the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border. The Saskatchewan River is one of the many bodies of water found in the surrounding area. In addition to the main site, the town has two other territories which are connected to the rail lines.
